Mr. Boczkowski is an Operating Partner to Cimbria Capital. He is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Matt Boczkowski joined Cimbria Capital as an Operating Partner to strengthen the firm’s expertise in areas of commercialization, scale-up, strategic positioning, expansion strategies and management of companies operating in the water space and the environment. He currently holds the position of CEO at Aquaporin where his responsibilities include various aspects of the day to day management of the company as well as setting the commercial strategy and execution for the business.

With an even split in technical and business roles in the areas of water treatment, environment and renewables, Mr. Boczkowski is a hands-on leader who has held key technical positions in the field and executive board rooms. Prior to his current role, Mr. Boczkowski was Vice President – Industrial Markets and Key Accounts at SUEZ HQ in France where his responsibilities included the development of new markets, building the industrial marketing team and identifying top strategic growth initiatives. He joined SUEZ in 2011, formerly GE Water, through its prestigious experienced commercial leadership program working with top executives at General Electric globally. In 2013, Mr. Boczkowski was selected to lead the development of GE Water’s Upstream Equipment O&G initiative, where he successfully established a new line of products, services and project offerings aiming at extracting incremental oil resources and ensuring asset integrity. Before joining GE and SUEZ, Mr. Boczkowski spent 8 years with Air Liquide, GEA and Pall where he held engineering, technical and analytical roles of increasing responsibility. Throughout his career, Mr. Boczkowski volunteered as a public health and water advisor in rural Peru and was a consultant for MaRS Discovery District, supporting Canada’s most promising startups in the fields of water and cleantech.

Mr. Boczkowski holds an MBA from HEC Montreal, a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering and a B.Sc in Microbiology and Biotechnology from McGill University, Canada. He is an avid traveler, photographer, a fan of the Montreal Canadians and volleyball player. He resides in Copenhagen, Denmark with his family.
